The Award for Promoting Peace, Nonviolence and Human Rights „Krunoslav Sukić“, was awarded for the third time in the presence of Video production Ypsilon cameras from Osijek.

The Award for Promoting Peace, Nonviolence and Human Rights „Krunoslav Sukić“ 2011., was given to three persons: Ljiljana Gehrecke for her commitment to analleviating the war trauma and the recovery of people, relationships and community in Vukovar; Peter Kuzmič, Rector of the Evangelical Theological Faculty in Osijek for his efforts at interreligious dialogue and cooperation, and civic participation in the formation of a democratic culture in Croatia, and Veljko Vičević - for opening and establishing a dialogue between the associations of Homeland War veterans and civil society organizations, particularly in relation to regional processes dealing with the past and the initiative for RECOM.

Recognition for the promotion of peace, nonviolence and human rights in the local community was given to the students and teachers of elementary school „Milan Brozović“ from Kastav, for connecting upbringing and education for peace with civic involvement for the benefit of the community -solidarity and creative responses to problems and conflicts.

Recognition "Krunoslav Sukić" for non-violent action was given to the activity "Week against racism in football - White Angels."

For the first time in the year 2011, „Krunoslav Sukić“ recognition was awarded to the book of the decade in the field of peacemaking, nonviolent action, human rights and civil society. The award was presented to Slavko Goldstein for his book "1941. – The Year That Keeps Returning ".

The award, named after Krunoslav Sukić, is an initiative of the Centre for Peace, Nonviolence and Human Rights in Osijek.
